Thanks for downloading BlenderTrain v1.1 There hasn't been many major changes apart from the steam loco, the coal now loads automatically and you can switch to passenger cars and disable the coal loading system. The (un)coupling system is working OK but only uncouple on level ground as the cars have no brakes when uncoupled. Any tips or suggestions are more than welcome, I can be contacted at davidsimpson66@bentstraight.org Just unzip to your desktop.Everything you need should be in this folder and d/click on BlenderTrain2008.exe You may want to experiment with your opengl settings for the best look (try turning mipmapping off if poss) The idea is to load up wih coal at the hopper making sure you have a full load and run your train up to the power station at the end. Watch your speed here as the brakes don't work as well when you have a full load of coal. If you go too fast or run off the end of the track the game will end If you are too heavy on the brakes you will lose pressure and you will have to wait until the compressor pumps them back up. You have to be powered right down to zero before you can change gear. F = forward gear R = reverse gear n = Neutral gear B = brakes NumPad + = power up NumPad - =power down [ and ] to switch the points direction X to uncouple and there is a self-coupling system, just drive carefully into the cars to re-couple. U = Unload coal (when over bin on bridge) A = To switch to passenger cars and to turn off the coal hoppers. D = fill up with diesel/coal (when near tank) W = horn/whistle Camera Views KeyPad 1 = follows train, numpad arrows pan around and up & Down, keypad +- zooms in and out Keypad 2 = driver out window, numpad arrows pan around and up & Down c = cab view, numpad arrows pan around and up & Down KeyPad 3 to help load coal and KeyPad 9 to help unload. Left and right panning with NumPad 4 and 6 KeyPad 0 puts you in the last coal car numpad 4 and 6 to pan around KeyPad 4,5...8 various positions around track, these cams follow the train automatically Have FUN Dr S
